Let The Wandering Journey Begin ✨

Hello, my fellow wanderer!

I hope you are well πŸ˜‰

I am back in my hometown in Malaysia AGAIN.

But this time I have only one goal only; to go all in on Sam Lee Travel!

Not going to lie, it is scary seeing my bank account slowly doing a disappearing act.

But then I realised something.

If I am going to be stressed either way, I might as well be stressed building my own thing instead of someone else dream.

And so here we are!

After I got back from Japan last month, I jumped straight into creating new Japan travel content. And I started with one of my fav places ever.

Mount Fuji.

To be honest, I did not even expect to see a clear, unobstructed view of Fujisan when I was there. It is famously shy for a reason.

But somehow, luck was on my side and I visited on two of the roughly 80 days a year where Mount Fuji is actually fully visible! πŸ₯Ή

So I wrote a bunch of Mount Fuji guides based on my real trip, with no-fluff, latest tips:

πŸ‘‰ How To Get To Mount Fuji From Tokyo: Best Ways & Tips
πŸ‘‰ Where to Stay at Mount Fuji: Best Areas, Hotels & Ryokans
πŸ‘‰ 7 Best Things to Do at Mount Fuji (Real Tips & Experience!)
πŸ‘‰ Best Mount Fuji 2-Day Itinerary for First-Timers
πŸ‘‰ Cycling Around Lake Kawaguchiko: Tried-And Tested Route & Tips

πŸ‘‰ 5 Best Mt Fuji Ryokan With Private Onsen (That Worth The Splurge!)

I am also in the middle of a massive content glow-up for the rest of my Japan articles.

Like updating old posts, fixing outdated info, and making everything actually useful for your travel planning in 2026 and beyond!

I will let you guys know when I have more new guides to share!

Adventure is out there,

Sam πŸ˜‰

Sam Lee Travel Let The Wandering Journey Begin ✨ Hello, my fellow wanderer! I hope you are well πŸ˜‰ So I told myself I was just going to β€œupdate a few things” on my Japan 3-week itinerary. You know. Fix some outdated info. Tweak a train route. Add 2 to 3 cute photos and call it a day πŸ€ͺ Instead, I ended up reworking the entire thing. Fueled by questionable amounts of coffee β˜•οΈ Because once I started mapping it properly, I realised how much fun I actually had and how smooth the whole trip felt!...

Sam Lee Travel Let The Wandering Journey Begins ✨ Hello, my fellow wanderer! I hope you are well πŸ˜‰ I am well over two weeks into my Japan trip and I am typing this from a very cosy hotel in Kanazawa! I took a night bus from Osaka yesterday and reached the city at 5.40am this morning! I have taken 4 long distance buses (2 overnight trips) so far in Japan and I can't recommend it enough for anyone who: wants to save a night or two of accommodation 🏨 wants to start the day really early in new...

Issue #2 Sam Lee Travel Let The Wandering Journey Begins ✨ Hello, my fellow wanderer! I hope you are well πŸ˜‰ I have some exciting news to kick things off: I am heading back to Japan for three weeks this November! I just bought the air tickets yesterday (very last-minute energy, I know) And if you are also planning a late-November trip, you and I are in luck! It is the sweet spot for fiery fall colours (check the JMC latest autumn foliage forecast across Japan here) and way fewer crowds than...
